Not buying Guice not playing in bowl game. Key is a different story.

Fact is, players with early-round NFL potential will not be playing in mid-level bowl games in the future. may as well get used to it. I'd bet that if we were talking about playoff-level bowl games, no one would be sitting out who could play, though.

Why should these guys risk long term financial wealth to play in a meaningless game?

Holding out hope Guice is just laying off in order to be 100 percent for the bowl game against Notre Dame… Because I’m still kind of moved by your statement “I’m loyal to my team! No way I’m skipping a game I’m completely capable of playing in” .... yes that was a Jerry Maguire reference… Geaux Tigers !!!

Exactly! why do Guice & Key get a pass for skipping the bowl game because they are expected high draft picks? Adams, White, Godchaux were all high draft prospects before last years bowl game and they played!
