Bruce Feldman with Fox Sports is reporting that sophomore Texas Tech transfer wide receiver Jonathan Giles from Missouri City, TX will take an official visit to LSU on June 1.

Giles tweeted his top 10 list of transfer schools back earlier this week. They are Ohio State, Florida State, LSU, Louisville, Georgia, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Purdue, SMU and Oregon.

Giles, a 2016 Biletnikoff Award semifinalist, recorded 69 receptions for 1158 yards and 13 touchdowns last season.

Good point Blanky6715. However, these players were already being recruited by the previous staff, and there was still a lot of uncertainty about the assistant coaches status. Besides, some players just want to go elsewhere and get that out of state experience. You are correct about my being biased. I am a lifelong Tiger fan and I am excited about the direction of the program more so than in recent years!

Why's everyone transferring out of Texas Tech? I know Lubbock isn't the greatest place, but they knew that going in.

He has to sit out a year, so you're right, he would miss Etling's senior season.

So why is he transferring from Texas Tech?

It's weird cause he led their receiving in almost every category. It could have something to do with Mahomes not being there. It sure helps having a new OC, it's much closer to home and it's the SEC.

Top 10 list for a transfer? Someone liked the attention during his first recruitment.

Seeing as how he went to Texas Tech id say he didnt get that attention during his first recruitment.

Everyone wants to come to LSU now. O has brought a level of excitement to the program that has been missing for awhile. These young kids want the full treatment and to feel a part of something big. Give it to them. That's what separate top tier from lower tier programs. O and his staff are doing a great job with this. Much success is coming our way Tiger fans!

Pump the brakes. We lost 2 5 star prospects who the staff was very confident in getting last recruiting cycle (Marvin Wilson and Cam Akers). Your bias is showing.

Yea, bc we never got the great players before. It wasn't the players/talent that were ever lacking under Miles. It was him and that dumbass, sorry excuse for an OC, Cam, that ran a system that killed our potential as a team, not bc players didn't want to come here.
