Multiple sources are reporting that the Superdome police officer that Odell Beckham Jr. slapped on the butt during celebrations in LSU's locker room on Monday night has chosen not to press charges against him. Per NOLA.com:
quote:

The move comes after the 48-year-old stadium police lieutenant by Friday had given a signed affidavit to the NOPD stating that he did not wish to press charges against Beckham, 27, who had been accused of simple battery.

"There is no warrant outstanding for the arrest of Odell Beckham Jr.," read a statement Saturday from the player's lawyer, Daniel Davillier of New Orleans. "The security officer involved does not wish to pursue charges in this matter. The legal matter has been resolved."

Odell did what we all do. Had a little too much to drink and acted out. Only problem is he’s a celebrity and we’re not. Wipe the dust off. Move forward.

He contracted the WR “diva” virus and hopefully we can find a cure one day. I’m glad the authorities recognize this horrible condition and are lenient.

Hopefully it’s the last LSU hears from Odell. Guy is a tool.

So the "security guard" got his feeling hurt for getting slapped on the butt. OMG, get a life, LSU just won the National Championship. Go out in the street and arrest someone for shooting and murder and leave LSU alone (but OBJ is a dumb arse too).

Man... OBJ is still a very young guy that is super excited about his team and school. He knows that his last year they should have been there, and could have been there with property structure. Everyone needs to pump the brakes and acknowledge he is just partying with friends and his team!

The cop sucks for initially trying to put sexual harassment on OBJ, but OBJ sucks for being disrespectful to the police.

What do you do with this guy? He’s great for recruiting but a ticking time bomb.

Now, he should apologize to the police/security officer and then to the school and team for being an embarrassment while a guest at their party and then acknowledge he would be lucky if they let him near the program again.... but I'm not holding my breath on that one.

Agree 100%. OBJ was totally out of line here and the security guy over reacted. But, had he gone through with these charges, he would have become a laughing stock. Glad this is over.

I am genuinely curious how my comments (and that of the ElderTiger) get downvotes? I did not say OBJ is the scum of the earth... Hell, last week I said he is one of the most misunderstood athletes ever... but he acted a fool at the CFP Championship game. When you screw up, you should apologize. No?
