The Advocate is reporting that suspended LSU wide receiver Drake Davis is being held in jail without bond under judge orders until further notice.

Davis was arrested Sunday morning on battery charges.
quote:

Davis' attorney, Marci Blaize, asked judge Donald Johnson for the case to be put on Thursday's docket.

Davis' arrest is his second in a month. He has been accused of abusing the same woman. He was previously arrested Aug. 17 and released on bail.

His first arrest centered on four incidents of abuse that included punching and grabbing the victim by her throat on multiple occasions between April 2017 and June 2018. Read more.
Expect head coach Ed Orgeron to be asked questions regarding Davis' situation during his Monday press conference at 12:30 pm CT.

Stupidity at it's finest! All that talent, a full ride at a school that is known for putting guys with your skillset into the NFL, and you decide your gonna throw it all away because you have the "assert my dominance over a woman" mentality! You deserve everything that's coming to you! And this is coming from a fellow black man!

Whatever is driving his violence is either going to stop and him get control or he has a cell in Angola waiting on him. There probably isn't a happy middle to this mans issues.

There’s no way someone is that stupid to commit another violent act while on a no contact order from a judge. I believe there is something that stinks about this entire case and it’s not all on Drake Davis. If he was this much of a violent person he probably wouldn’t have made if this far without a lengthy criminal record.
