Football Scoop is reporting that Nebraska head coach Scott Frost is targeting LSU WR coach Mickey Jospeh to join his staff in Lincoln as his wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator.
quote:

LSU's assistant head coach the past two seasons and on staff with the Tigers the past five, Joseph is in negotiations on a potential return to Lincoln, Nebraska, to join Scott Frost's staff as wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator, per multiple sources.
Joseph, a 53-year-old Louisiana native, played quarterback at Nebraska from 1988-1991.

Ed Orgeron hired Joseph to his staff as wide receiver coach in 2017 and gave him the title of assistant head coach in 2020. He signed a new two-year contract extension in May worth $500,000 in the first year and $550,000 the second year. He is one of LSU's top recruiters on staff.

Joseph reportedly turned down an offer to become Nebraska's passing game coordinator and associate head coach after LSU won the 2019 National Championship.

Frost will probably be fired after next season. Mickey would have to be crazy to get on that boat.

As long as we do not have a head coach choosing who stays, and who is replaced, all of our assistant coaches will be listening to offers. We need to get this shite done, already.

Frost will be gone after next year, unless they find a QB in the portal.

Frost is looking for a pipeline to lower ranked skill players in Louisiana. The best WR to ever come through Nebraska (in the record books), was Stanley Morgan Jr. Let that sink in...
