Former Ohio State quarterback Joe Burrow will be transferring to LSU, according to Cincinnati Enquirer sports reporter Tom Groeschen.

Burrow, a graduate transfer from The Plains, OH, will have two years of eligibility remaining and can play immediately.

Bad player. Probably won’t even be the starter.

So Florida passed on considering this guy and we all know about the Gator's current QB situation? Good pick up, I guess!

He didn't lose the competition. Meyer/Day wouldn't commit to naming a starting QB, so Burrow hit the road (he ain't indecisive in the pocket either). No knocks against our excellent QB Dwayne Haskins, but you guys landed the best QB in the NCAA, IMHO.

I really don't know what to think about this Joe Burrow kid, I mean I really wish he's good because I don't care who wins the QB job just that he is a winner.QB Joe Burrows couldn't beat out the youngster who we fought tooth and nail for with Ohio St. QB Dwayne Haskins and he was a freshman albeit after a Burrow injury, but he still couldn't beat out a frosh. I just hope it lites a fire and breathed competition in the QB room and make everybody better and hopefully it develops a real QB instead of a position manager.

Exciting...but worrisome!! Who do have on staff that can coach a real QB?

If LSU had someone that could do that, then they wouldn't be in this situation.

Etling got beat out at Purdue by a QB that got beat out himself the next year. Last year Etling had 16 TD passes (tied for 3rd highest since Flynn 2007) to 2 ints (best since IDK when). He completed 60% of his passes, averaged 9 yards per attempt (2nd best since Russell 2006), had almost 2500 pass yards (3rd highest total since Russell 2006), and only threw the ball 21 times a game. The beauty of all this is that he's been under one of the best coaches to have QB success for the past 3 years, already knows a power spread/RPO offense, and is an actual accurate dual threat.

No problem with any player on any team who is 4th on the depth chart transferring in order to get some playing time.

Big question is he actually better than Narcisse or Brennan.

Considering he's looked good with every chance you saw him, and Brennan and Narcisse haven't, I'd have to go with yes, he's much better. More field experience, more time in college, under actual QB coaches, good QB coaches, and takes the best of both (Narcisse legs, Brennan arm).

Pretty sure that would be a yesssss.....

This may save our season. The defense can go out there knowing we have a real QB and maybe have an easier time.
