Rickey Jefferson, a senior starting safety, suffered a serious leg injury at practice Wednesday and will miss significant time, a source told The Advocate. The extent of the injury is not clear, and coach Ed Orgeron will address reporters at a previously scheduled post-practice news conference Thursday night.

Perfect, just what we need! BTW, in the old days backs were required to have their ankles taped for every practice and games. Based on the number of ankle injuries this year is that still a policy.
