Update:
LSU freshman running back Derrius Guice went to the hospital from the LSU football practice facility after losing consciousness on Wednesday afternoon.

It's possible he was taken to the hospital as a precaution but details of what happened or his condition have not been released yet.

Late Wednesday night, Guice sent out the following message on social media to say that he is ok.

WBRZ is reporting that an 18-year football player, who's identity has not been released was taken to the hospital on Wednesday around 5:30pm.

Michael Bonnette said the 18-year-old player was taken to the hospital around 5:30 p.m. from LSU's indoor practice facility.

Bonnette did not say why the player was taken to the hospital, or release his identity.

We don't know who the player is, what his injury/sickness is, or how he got injured/sick. What is the point of a story like this?

That doesn't mean that he wasn't already dehydrated. It happens all of the time to athletes. Runners often get dehydrated in the winter time.

Thank God he OK my biggest fear right now, my son bout too go play college football hope I never get that call about he in hospital. Its very different thing from the parents point of view cause u a parent first fan second be careful what you say bout these people kids!

Not that I want anyone to be hurt, and I hope it was just something minor, but please don't be a DT or LB. LSU can't afford any more losses there.
