Multiple sources report that freshman tight end Jackson McGohan is entering the NCAA transfer portal after just one year in Baton Rouge.

McGohan, a three-star prospect from Miamisburg, Ohio, was one of four tight ends in LSU's 2023 recruiting class. The Tigers also have elite four-star tight end Trey’Dez Green committed for the 2024 class.

He would likely be #6 on the depth chart next year. I don't blame him for wanting to play.

If he was not asked to explore his options, then this is a bad decision. CBK is the TE king. If CBK thinks they missed and asked him to explore his options, I wish him the best.
