Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports
Longtime LSU defensive back coach Corey Raymond has agreed to a 3-year extension to remain with the school, according to Jimmy Smith with Tiger Details.
Raymond played at LSU from 1987–1991 and has been an assistant on LSU's staff since 2012. He is considered one of LSU's top recruiters.
The New Iberia native reportedly turned down a job offer from Texas A&M over the weekend.
Raymond's previous contract paid him $425,000 in 2018 and $450,000 this past season. His new deal is expected to pay him an average of $600,000 per season, according to Smith.
