LSU has added the UTSA Roadrunners to their 2020 football schedule as the season-opener that year, according to FBSchedules.com.

Former LSU running back coach and recruiting coordinator Frank Wilson is the current head coach at UTSA.

LSU will host UTSA at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge to open the 2020 season on Sept. 5. LSU will pay UTSA a $1.4 million guarantee for the game, according to a copy of the contract obtained from LSU.

The 2020 match-up will be the first ever meeting between LSU and UTSA on the gridiron.

LSU was previously scheduled to open the 2020 season vs. Nicholls State. That game has been moved to Oct. 3, 2020, according to a copy of contract amendment signed by both schools.

Can't complain too much. The Longhorns come to town the following week.

Would have been better if the game were held in the Alamodome.

Everyone has a few tune ups on their schedule. Might as well be against someone who did a lot for our university like Coach Frank did. Just don't get beat!

That's a long ways away. Hopefully Frank continues to do well at UTSA and moves up before 2020.
