On Monday, former Clemson offensive tackle Jake Fruhmorgen will travel to Baton Rouge to spend a few days on LSU's campus, multiple sources confirmed with the Geaux247 staff. Fruhmorgen will get the chance to sit down with the coaching staff during his stay, and LSU has expressed interest in adding him to the roster if he chooses to transfer to Baton Rouge.
Fruhmorgen has received his release from Clemson after announcing his decision to transfer last month. If he transfers to an FBS school, Fruhmorgen would sit out one season before being able to see the field. As a sophomore this past fall, he started the first eight games of the at tackle for Clemson before suffering a shoulder injury. As a freshman the year prior, Fruhmorgen made one start in 11 games and recorded seven knockdowns on 245 snaps
