No. 15 LSU (6-2, 3-1 SEC) returns to Tiger Stadium on Saturday for a pivotal game against No. 11 Alabama (6-2, 3-2 SEC).

Kickoff from Death Valley is set for 6:30 p.m. CT on ABC.

Saturday's matchup is a must-win for LSU if the Tigers want to remain in the college football playoff picture. A loss for either team likely ends their playoff chances.

LSU's all-time overall record against Alabama is 27-56-5. The Crimson Tide won last year's matchup in Tuscaloosa 42-28. The last time they played at Tiger Stadium in 2022, LSU won 32-31 in overtime.

Alabama is currently a 2.5-point favorite, and the over/under is 58.5.

LSU – 31
Bama – 10

The Nuss Bus limped back to Baton Rouge from Aggieland all beat to hell. It was dented up, two tires off the rims, three windows knocked out, one headlight and two taillights gone, spitting, sputtering, backfiring and smoking like a Cheech and Chong movie.

After a week of mechanical and body work and the sorority sisters back in their skimpy bikinis washing and waxing the Bus…she’s looking like she just rolled off of the assembly line and ready to roll…over the Tide.

On the first play of the game, Swinson pile-drived Milroe into Death Valley dirt as payback for Jayden Daniels last year. The hit left an 8-inch deep imprint in the turf that Wile E. Coyote later crawled out of. Milroe never returned to the game. Perfectly clean hit. OUT.

The Bama backup QB was no Milroe. The Tigers’ D confused, confounded, bumped and thumped and locked him down, like The Donald did the swing states. 7 sacks on the day! 7 and 3 picks with 1 going to the house! Weeks and the boys were embarrassed last time out and that wudn’t happening again.

Nuss returned to his Burrowesque play, completing 14 passes in a row to start the game. The only looking back the Fightin Tigers did after that was when Hilton and Durham each broke for long TD runs to gaze at the Gumps they’d shed behind.

Don’t look now, but…We (still) Comin!

The Crimson Tide tried
But just got fried
They couldn’t hide
As they all cried
With broken pride
They continue their slide

Nuss will be running for his life all night while the running game will be non-existent but will light the Gumps up for four hundred yards and 4 TD's.
