Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports
During a recent interview with Uninterrupted this week, former LSU and current New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. said that he hopes to be the highest paid player in the NFL.
quote:Beckham is still playing on his rookie deal and will make $1.8 million in 2017. Many believe the former LSU star could soon land a deal that will approach a net value of $17.5 per season when he enters free agency after the 2018 season.
“It’s like the elephant in the room, and you don’t want to talk about it but I’ve gotten to the point in my life where I’m like, ‘No, I’m going to. There’s no need to not talk about it,'” Beckham said.
“I believe that I will be hopefully not just the highest-paid receiver in the league, but the highest paid, period.”
