Speaking with the media on Tuesday, LSU head coach Les Miles suggested that freshman offensive guard Toby Weathersby will be seeing more playing time after working himself in the rotation these past two weeks. Per NOLA.com:
quote:

"He's a good player," Miles said of Weathersby, a 6-feet-5, 292-pound freshman from Houston. "We enjoy the fact we can work guys like that in. We'll continue to do so.

"He deserves to play. He's going to be a guy in the future that is going to play a lot of football here. He's bright as a whip, very physical. We want to get him on the field."

I'm surprised how Brumfield seems to be slipping on the depth chart.

I love the direction this program has gone. Back in the day this was Oklahoma or Miami maybe Notre Dame.

Glad Miles is starting to play freshmen. May be coincidental, but it seems that since Steele came we've been playing a lot more freshmen which is great. If they're as good as purported, they'll only be here three years anyway.

Or just report him as eligible when he does come in and keep his lineman number

Like someone else said, make him your Dillon Gordon replacement and slap a TE # on him.

This makes me very happy. Our OL will be hit the hardest with the draft. Thankfully, we have some serious talent waiting in the wings.
