Former LSU quarterback Max Johnson announced Friday morning that he will be transferring to Texas A&M.

Johnson will join his brother Jake, a four-star tight end that signed with the Aggies this week.

Johnson, a sophomore from Athens, Georgia, started in every game for the Tigers this season, passing for 2,815 yards, 27 touchdowns, and six interceptions.

Why did he leave? Nuss could not have beaten him out, and he left before Myles said he'd come back...so why?

I guess Max didn't pay attention to the QB's that have played for Jimbo. He recruits really good QB's and they basically stay there same their entire career, then do poorly at the next level

Myles a call on Monday, Max announces on that Friday... yep, Max was told to go find a home.

Doesn't make any sense if he was transferring for Playing time. They must have loaded his pocket to get brother

Max struggled last year…and if he finds himself getting buried on the depth chart, I can’t blame him for transferring. I wish him success in his football career. Thanks for being a Tiger!

$$$$$$$$ talks and BS walks....A&M has an Alumni with billions to burn but money can"t ever replace "the Heart" of a football player playing for the united love of the team and School. Go Tigers

So, A&M's qb who started most of their games, if not all of them, is in the portal because the projected starter was lost to injury but will be back for next season. He must know that this guy is much better than he is! And Max was not heads over heals better than Calzada, although we did beat them...but that wasn't just because of the qb play. I think Max will be riding the pines at A&M and cannot wish him well because he will now be the enemy!

What a whiney weasel. I have no doubt he'll be running the scout team. What a dumb arse move.

Start every game but one and transfer? What is wrong with these guys? Not playing, not getting a chance, I get it. A starter? Soy city...

As for as Boutte he’s a faster version of Chase and lsu or bama he will shine as the best receiver in the nation and he knows that, i feel he stays with lsu cause he knows he’s that good ,

Most would have supported you transferring to almost any team and you pick a divisional opponent? Enjoy your new cult and the complimentary jars of jizz.

If coach kelly can beef up our Offensive line and give Brennan time to throw like bama did to mac jones , Brennan knows our spread offense, i was a max supporter, but now with our new coach i think Brennan can do great things

Max was the reason we lost vs Bama. That game was unforgivable.
