Looks like Malachi made a good decision. He's loaded already. Someone gave him good advice. Playing in the pros would be lagniappe at this point! Congrats Mal and good luck in the future!

Happy for him but why would they sign someone who hasn't played a snap of pro football yet? Is this common practice?

Smart on the part of the shoe dealer. Think of this-the cost of signing an established player is significantly more than signing a player not in the league. You sign a couple of these players who have a chance of becoming the next superstar with the hope that one of them actually do. In that case, you signed the guy at a time when his endorsement cost is cheap. Even signing a couple of these guys is cheaper than signing one established name. The cheaper costs outweigh the risk of the endorsers not becoming a popular player in the NFL.

Malachi always looked like a 4.5 guy to me, he'll surprise me if he runs a 4.3 or something.

Its not really an endorsement deal. Adidas is doing this thing if you beat the 40 yard dash record wearing this shoe you will win an island. This means he signed up for a chance to get a deal.

Money, that's what it's all about! I'd wear a blind fold if they asked me as long as they're paying me.

He'll be a good one hopefully, if this deal was done after the combine I doubt they go with "new speed" cheetah theme though
