There were a significant amount of key dropped passes by LSU against Alabama on Saturday night and Les Miles and his young receivers know that needs to be fixed immediately. Per ESPN:

"We had some of our best receivers, I mean maybe the most talented ball-skill guys, drop balls [against Alabama]," LSU coach Les Miles said. "So I was surprised absolutely that that was the case. I would bet you that that wouldn't happen again like that for a long time."
quote:

"Trey may have had a few questionable ones, Travin, myself," Dupre said. "Definitely we're guys who work extra hard to catch the football and [the Alabama game] isn't something that we want to keep doing. It definitely won't happen. I know I'll work harder, I know Trey will work very hard, Travin, and we'll get that fixed and it won't happen again."
quote:

"I don't want to say it's the story of the game. We did a lot of things right," Dupre said. "It's definitely not a characteristic of us, but it happened [against Alabama]. We just have to get better moving forward and make sure it doesn't happen again. That's the bottom line."
Here is Travin Dural talking about some of the mistakes from the Alabama game:

it would help it the quarterback cold put the ball in the right area, not under throw, over throw or throw behind the receivers. Of all the dropped balls maybe two were actually where they needed to be.

naw, the majority of their drops in that game were all on them. the ball was in a catchable place, they just botched it. this one isn't on AJ.

"I don't blame them cause they are surprised when the balls get thrown their way b/c they're used to running every down or getting over thrown." - The Rant.

These guys are young (Dupre and Quinn). Be patient. They will be great like OBJ and Landry were. (Remember the drops those two had their first year?)

Dural slipping, dropping a ball, Melvin Jones dropping a pass that went right to his hands. Quinn dropping two passes, one right on his hands, and Dupre getting constantly pushed to the boundary. Was that Spears who slipped that caused an int, or was it Dural?

Too many damn mistakes against Bama. They can be forgiven because they are young though. However, this makes me wonder why in the hell did we not have the RBs go out for passes like we have the past few weeks? RBs accounted for half of the receiving the past 3 games, yet they completely get away from that. We already know Jennings is bad, but nobody else did their part either.

Oh, and where in the hell is Diarse? Guy has been ghost for a while. I'd rather lose some speed, for more reliable hands right now, so he should be on the field more.

"needs to be fixed immediately."

No hurry. We've got a year to prepare them.

I went to every home game that year and, no, I do not.

Shouldn't they have done this before the bama game.
