LSU running back John Emery Jr. suffered a "significant" knee injury in the win vs. Florida, head coach Brian Kelly said after the game.

The injury happened in the first quarter when Emery Jr. made a cut on a 14-yard rush and went down on the field a few steps later.

Kelly said they will do more testing with Emery Jr. but it doesn't sound good.

In today's atmosphere of college football I will always hold guys like emery and sage Ryan dear. 5 star kids who never quit on LSU, dealt with tons of adversity and played with heart. His story is not finished being written and I hope the best chapters are still to come. God bless and good luck young man. Thanks for never quitting. Geaux tigers!

Most snake bit player I can recall. Just sad for him.

Why is he even playing? He is 4th best. He has been a 5 year waste. Keep him on the bench where he belongs. Let the young RBs take their time.

The field reporter said he was out with an achilles injury...I told myself, "that woman clearly did not watch the replay...unless she thinks the achilles is up in the knee". That knee bent in a direction it ain't supposed to go.

Saw him after the injury. He was smiling and had long conversation with a pretty girl. I thanked him for being a tiger. He said this is my home. Seemed to have a great attitude

I feel bad for him. That cut at the line was like Barry Sanders. So much unfulfilled promise. Some of it, his own doing. But i hope he can rehab and play again.

The cut he made when breaking through the line was phenomenal and at the edge of human limits. I think John's ability is above human limits to withstand the forces. God bless John moving forward toward a hard challenge. It's how great men are created.

Emory has the worst luck but some ownership in his lackluster career at LSU. He was out so many games because of grades. That is on him. But him getting hurt on a beautiful run was just sad. I wish him the best.

I knew when I saw it happen, that we likely wouldn’t see him again. Hope I am wrong though.

Thanks for being a Tiger, John Emery….
