Also Id like to see some experimentation at the quarterback position. I think we all know our team is in a big transitional period right now. We can't expect to win a championship this year. So why don't we take this year to put some highly touted guys in the dam game and see what they can do. We're doinit at every other position!! So frustrating right now.

Look fans, we need a quarterback with some freakin GRIT! I know Danny's tough and a good kid and all that. But we need a quarterback that wants to win as bad as Derrius Guice. That has the mentality ABOUT winning that Derrius Guice. I guy that doesn't have to decide to be a leader. Somebody that JUST IS a dang leader. This is big boy football and he ain't quite cutting it. Give me a guy with Danny's smarts, Lowell's wheels, Brennan's arm, and Guice's swag. There's plenty of them out there O, go get 'em.

They did just offer the #1qb prospect in the nation last week, so.....

Meh. I have a hard time trying to put this game on Etling. The whole team was young and crumbled under the weight of a hostile road game. It all just went wrong and they didn't stop it from snowballing. Etling had pressure in his face all night and it's hard to make plays when none of the other guys are helping.

Correct. Etling was under pressure for most of the night. The outside rush collapsed the pocket quickly really hurrying the throws. When he had time the throws were accurate but then there were some outright drops and bad penalty calls. Really can't hang this one on Danny. Line play, both sides of the ball, and drops/penalties hurt. Having a lot of players out for injuries/ineligible/suspended hurts too. Better clean up the penalties and get some people back healthy in the next two weeks......

I'm glad to see someone actually watched the game and realized what happened instead of the same old qb and coach bashers we get on here. Thanks Techdog89 and PortCityTiger82. Very good insight!

He's still under the Miles thought that it's ok to lose a game or two and then to take the rest of the season serious. SCREW THIS.

Well, you all have 2 more weeks to clean up your act. October 7, 2017 is looming.

Do you really have to make an announcement about becoming a leader? Is there a ceremony or something?

I agree. We needed a leader last week. Just do it

Why now, and not before the game?

Sorry Danny, that time has past.

well, should you not have already been supposed to do that before now. After all you are the starting QB

We got rolled, they beat us in the trenches...2 TD's we scored and called back were bad calls but would not have been the difference. We got outclassed, outworked, out everything. This is a tough position for Coach O to be in...he doesn't have the football capital established to be given a ton of grace or time to "rebuild"....this program has had top ten recruiting classes for years and years...no excuse to be outside the top 25 and going 8-4...Tired of hoping for next year...we've been sliding since 2012 champ game..Sad reality

Thank god bow hunting starts next Saturday. I am done with LSU Football. It is not all this kids fault. Defensive player miss coverage and the offensive line missed blocks time after time. We need coaches and players

I thought the new O and D coordinators where supposed to be some of the best around are we now going after the ones Miss State has.

This is what I've been talking about. Etling is a senior, completely mediocre, and has zero playmaking potential. Why waste a year of rebuilding with an average senior when you can start a young guy and prepare him for when the rest of the team will be experienced? Brennan has an arm and I know with play time will become really accurate. Narcisse has the athleticism of a WR/RB and has a powerful arm. Why not work with both of them to finish out what will likely be a very hard to watch year? Hell we need to throw several QBs at Syracuse and Troy and see who will be the starter for the UF game.

No danny it's time for you to see the bench. You are what you are and it's not getting better. Good kid, not an SEC level QB

By definition the QB is the leader of the team. I'm glad it only took him 3 games into his senior year of college football to figure it out.

I want to believe.

Us fans continue going back to the well with this guy. Drops aside, he's just not a quality QB regardless of how you cut it.

Danny be a leader and let Brennan or Narcisse play
