Chuck Cook-USA TODAY Sports
LSU released the following statement on Wednesday regarding Odell Beckham Jr. who appeared to be handing out money to players on the field after the National Championship.
quote:

Statement from LSU Athletics:

“We are aware of the situation regarding Odell Beckham Jr. interacting with LSU student-athletes and others unaffiliated with the team following the championship game Monday night. Initial information suggested bills that were exchanged were novelty bills. Information and footage reviewed since shows apparent cash may have also been given to LSU student-athletes. We were in contact with the NCAA and the SEC immediately upon learning of this situation in which some of our student-athletes may have been placed in a compromising position. We are working with our student-athletes, the NCAA and the SEC in order to rectify the situation.”

Arrogant self-serving a-hole. OBJ and Eric Reid are both embarrassments to LSU.

I've have always been in OBJ's corner in regards to what he does off the field. If he isnt committing a crime, then live your best life. You've put in the work, now reap the rewards. But this was foolish, it was selfish and I feel like you were there only to flash in front of the camera. This night wasn't about you! It was about LSU's CURRENT team. But not only did you make it about you, but you painted yourself in a negative light that also casted over the entire football program. Right after they just won the CFP Championship, of all times to be stupid! It's a million cameras on recording everything on the field! You know this because you deal with it every Sunday! And still, you handing out cash..to players..on the field..on live television..nationally televised!? This was stupid and, if I was in a position of authority on campus, wouldn't allow you on the sidelines during games, or on the field afterwards unless you're being honored for something. You can't be trusted to put the program before celebrations and to think before you do things.

OBJ should be banned from the LSU campus, and all games. How stupid can he be to do something like this? None of the team nor any of the players are at fault here. This is ALL on Odell Beckham Jr.

Come on OBJ, don't turn into antonio brown. Have more substance to yourself than bling. You've given some nice things to the players without crossing the line, be better than this. Enjoy the moment as a ex LSU player but, realize its their moment. Come on Man

You don't clown around with potential allegations against the squad.

It is OBJ's fault. He needs to be banned from any association with the program.

OBJ......what an incredible embarrassment. Such an unbelievable dick. On the field with that team is as close as he will ever get to a championship. Just go away.....please

OBJ is an idiot who has been a disgrace to LSU since he left. I hope LSU bans him from the campus and our sidelines.

OBJ I love you man, but wtf were you thinking. You’re supposed to be a role model for these kids. Having someone like you show them how to be a man once they leave LSU is worth more to them than $100 bills.
