I thoroughly enjoyed not having to squirm and squeek out a win against an inferior opponent. No disrespect to BYU, but they were clearly outmatched and the Tigers played 4 quarters of solid football. Not perfect (penalties, red zone scoring), but with 17 freshmen and 23 first timers playing, they will get that corrected. Also, didn't really notice any confusion out there from our offense with all the motion. I know Canada didn't show nearly what his playbook has in store yet, but the players seemed to have a good grasp on where to be. Very encouraging! Etling was very efficient. Guice and Williams are studs. Chark and Russell Gage looked good! And, of course, Aranda: You are the Master Of Defense! Congrats to Coach O and the entire staff! Keep it going Tigers!

You will see him more next week against Chatanooga. Brennan looked good in limited action. I expect he and Narcisse to get reps as the season goes on, but Etling is the man! Solid performance by him last night!
