Associated Press College Football writer Ralph D. Russo recently caught up with LSU defensive coordinator Dave Aranda and talked briefly with him about scouting and game planning for Alabama's offense:

Aranda and LSU's defense played extremely well against Alabama back on Nov. 6, forcing two turnovers and keeping the Crimson Tide scoreless for three-quarters.

LSU was able to stop Alabama's passing attack, only allowing 107 yards through the air but quarterback Jalen Hurts broke loose for a 21-yard touchdown run with 13 minutes left in the game to put the Tide on the scoreboard. They later added a field goal and ultimately won 10-0.

There were 3 Linemen Holding on Bama's TD and no Penalty was called!

And LSU can't control that and it will continue to happen so LSU just has to control what LSU can control.

He needs to figure out how to scheme against offensive holds that are not called.

Whats crazy/shitty is to think the game was "over" with 13 minutes left and the score 7-0.

"Said Kiffin turned it into one that morphs to best attack opponents' weaknesses."....."Aranda said to scout Alabama O you need to do deep dive on yourself. What you see Bama do vs others might be nothing like what it does v you"....no shite. In other words, they do what every other competent offensive coordinator does. This is why LSU's offense sucked under Miles and Cameron. They ran the same damn offense every game regardless of who they were playing.

100% correct.

Exactly. I been screaming that for the past 3 years. My son is 8 and he looks at LSUs formation and knows exactly what's coming. I am so happy that Cam's prehistoric offense is gone and Miles' meddling (he would force Aranda to call the dogs off when LSU would go ahead by 10 or more, causing A lot of teams to sneak back in an sometimes win. See Auburn as example). It seems like Miles and Cam would play to the team's weaknesses instead of their strengths.

I'm call bullshite on this Mouche. You want to hate on Miles, that's cool, but your statement about Miles "forcing" Aranda to "call off the dogs" is hogwash. Miles was only with Aranda for 4 games. Using Auburn as an example is a joke. LSU wasn't ahead of Auburn by 10 points. I can agree with Cameron and his offense and Miles meddling with some of the offensive plays. The other statements about Miles and Aranda are flat out bullshite comments.

I hope Dave Aranda consults Venebales and Dabo to help them beat Bama.

BayouBengal61, as much as I hate to say it. I actually hope Bama wins so all these media heads will stop trying to say that the ACC is stronger than the SEC. I want Bama to Obliterate Clemson and let the rest of the country know that the SEC stands alone at the top.

Mouche337, that won't happen. They're already saying it's Alabama and then the rest of the SEC. I'm in the "anytime Bam's loses it's good for LSU" camp

Its a pattern with the gumps on the holding, rarely called on these goobers, happened to Washington also. It's a fact on the TD, but yea we can't control the non calls, in our gump game our offense was sadly over matched, unfortunately.
