LSU Center Liam Shanahan Talks About The Arik Gilbert Situation

The talk of his use in the offense is bogus. He is a true freshman, who through 8 games, has 8 starts, 35 catches, 368 yards, 2 TD. Kyle Pitts played in 3 games Freshman year, with 3 catches for 75 and 1 td. Arik is on pace to do what Pitts did his sophomore year if we had a full years worth of games.

The team needs a leader and he looks like a good candidate.

Gilbert came to play in a leading edge offense - not one that lines up that way, then runs plays from the 1960's. O needs to clean house on the Offense coaching staff. New blood needed.
