The young man didn't quit on LSU. He's struggling with a situation and I wish him the best. God's best for you, young man.

Seems like this guys wants to return next year. Better get stronger cause sec tackles pushed him around.

He has the smarts. I'm sure it was a massive transition for him. Imagine if we didn't have him. Give him a full off season of training, add strength and he could bea very competent center.

The talk of his use in the offense is bogus. He is a true freshman, who through 8 games, has 8 starts, 35 catches, 368 yards, 2 TD. Kyle Pitts played in 3 games Freshman year, with 3 catches for 75 and 1 td. Arik is on pace to do what Pitts did his sophomore year if we had a full years worth of games.

This offense is fine and dandy, and THAT's why the best young TE in the nation is about to walk away? Watch where Gilbert ends up. It will be a team 100% committed to the new-style offense - not half-stepping it like E/Linehan.

Literally only Pitts (+1) and the A&M TE (+5) has more catches than him at the TE position in the SEC. Without a few of his drops and he's easily 1st or 2nd in the conference as a freshman for TE catches.

Poor take. Gilbert is soft.

The team needs a leader and he looks like a good candidate.

Gilbert came to play in a leading edge offense - not one that lines up that way, then runs plays from the 1960's. O needs to clean house on the Offense coaching staff. New blood needed.

I thought you were leaving the board after Burrow went pro. This is utter nonsense.

Up until the point Brennan got injured, the offense was fine with the exception of o-line issues early which is understandable considering game 1.
