Hard not to love this guy, on and off the field.

Exudes total class and professionalism at the young age of 18. WELL DONE by his parents and support team to help keep this ultra-talented phenom so humble and grounded.

Watching this video reminds you just how young he is. To think he’s the best corner in the country halfway through his freshman year is incredible. This guy has a special career in front of him.

This is the first post with 10+ comments where I’ve ever seen zero negative comments. Not sure what it means but it’s gotta be good on Stingley!

Awesome, it's crazy to think he seemed more nervous in that interview than on the field. What a classy and very likeable player. I have a feeling he will be one of the highest paid athletes very soon. From a dad, kudos to the parents because you can definitely tell they did an amazing job raising Derek!

I was thinking the same thing. He's a madman on the field, and so humble in a public interview. Such a perfect combination. This is the epitome of a sportsman.

I was under the impression that freshmen never get interviewed. I guess if you’re a generational talent you can bypass it.

I was thinking this too, but generational talents probably get handled differently. You also have to look at this interview as a controlled environment, with a pro LSU interviewer. Good way to ease him into interviews.

SEC Rreceivers, I dare you to take his humbleness as a weakness.

Definitely plays a lot louder than his personality. I like it.

A lot like his dad. I knew Derek while I was at LSU. Great guy with an amazing kid.

Give him some time to grow. Can’t believe he’s just a freshman!

He's a shy 18 year old kid. Seems well grounded but no doubt he will have his hands full for the next two games.
