Knox Dyson, a 6-3, 200-pound quarterback from Beggs, Okla., has committed to LSU as a preferred walk-on.

Dyson passed for 3,038 yards and 33 touchdowns during his senior year at Beggs High School.

A preferred walk-on means you are guaranteed a spot on the team. That's the difference between that and a walk-on who shows up and tries out for the team.
