LSU freshman running back Leonard Fournette has received a lot of new attention for striking the Heisman pose following his first career touchdown at LSU.

During the SEC teleconference on Wednesday, coach Les Miles said that Leonard Fournette has addressed the team about what he did.

Per NFL CFB 24/7:
quote:

"There's an appropriate time for that," Miles said during Wednesday's weekly SEC coaches' teleconference. "It will always be viewed in the interest of the team. Leonard certainly understands that. He addressed the team and described that's something he wishes he had not done."

"You'd rather have a guy who was ambitious and would see the opportunity to win a national award," Miles said. "That being said, you also want to curb that enthusiasm and say there'll be plenty of time for that as we go forward."

It's 5 days after the game and we are still talking about a freshman's TD celebration. Seriously, get over it.

Anyone who is really still hung up on this is really worrying about the wrong stuff.

As for other teams players doing the same thing... I could care less. I can only laugh when I think about the RBs who are going to want to strike that pose this year when they play LSU in some attempt to ride LF's spotlight. Let's face it, even the proven backs in the middle of their money years won't have the same hype that Leonard has had already and there won't be very many of them with the opportunity to score on LSU's defense this year much score to take a lead on them.

Big deal, a LSU freshman posed. Not a rape, robbery or theft. He is a good kid and a Tiger.
