LSU heads to Auburn this Saturday looking for its first SEC road win in two years, and head coach Lane Kiffin knows just how difficult that challenge can be.

During his Monday press conference, Kiffin was asked why winning on the road in the SEC is tougher than in other conferences following a wild Saturday of college football.

Kiffin pointed to the SEC's depth, arguing that even teams in the middle and bottom of the conference are tough to beat on their home fields.

"Well, I just think it's a deeper conference," Kiffin said. "And again, I've said this before. You can win because your No. 1 seed is better, like the last couple years, which is true, and credit to the Big Ten on that. That doesn't mean that your conference is deeper because you win the national championship.

"So our middle to bottom, whoever you declare those teams, those are still really hard places to play."

Kiffin also pointed to LSU's recent struggles on the road in the SEC. The Tigers haven't won a conference game away from Tiger Stadium since defeating Arkansas on October 19, 2024.

"I mean, we haven't won on the road at LSU in 24 months, and there's one other non-conference road game in there... It was at Clemson, and LSU won. So, I mean, it's real in the conference."

LSU will look to end that drought Saturday against an Auburn team coming off its massive upset victory over Georgia.

I laughed at ND's "tough" game in a hostile environment of 63k screaming people. Compare that shite to Knoxville.

Indiana is another with a soft schedule. It is so weak it is embarrassing.
