Texas A&M head coach Kevin Sumlin spoke to the media Thursday and answered many question about the upcoming game against LSU on Thanksgiving night.

One of the question that Sumlin was asked was if he considers LSU, A&M's main rival...
quote:

"Any time you move a game to the end of the year, I think you are insinuating something there," Sumlin said "Particularly on Thanksgiving... we'll see."
You can watch his full lengthy response to the question at the 7:40 mark in the video below:

thanksjhester: LSU's record vs A&M in my lifetime is 7-6. Probably sounded like a good question in your frightened little head didn't it?

This isn't a rivalry. Just another conference game.

Who cares? You can't will a rivalry into being. As one poster noted, it either turns on some event or is rooted in the relevance of the matchup. Our matchup with A&M hasn't had impact on a season's ultimate outcome in as long as anyone can remember. And there really isn't anything about them that otherwise makes the matchup very compelling (aside from their annoying fans on the SEC rant).

WhiskerBiscuitSlayer what is LSU's record against your Aggies in your lifetime? Just a question that i doubt you want to answer.

Most of the fans ,none of the players and neither coach understand any of the rivalry that existed between these two teams. Not many that do understand it care anymore. Currently this game is just another SEC game to play. The media fails to understand that rivalries create themselves and are not something the media can create. For a rivalry to exist you need a nidus of hate. Tommy Tuberville and his cigars for instance.

It's a budding rivalry. A&M needs to win one soon though to keep it going. Hope it doesn't come on Turkey Day.

The little brother aggies are to afraid to play Texas on Thanksgiving so they are begging LSU to be their new rival. Rivalry application declined.

Steer attention to another Mediocre team?

Sumlin needs a dictionary to look up the definition of "Rivalry". Maybe when your team is mediocre, you have to stir sh*t up so you car steer attentions away from yourself.
