The Tampa Buccaneers announced Friday morning that former LSU linebacker Kendell Beckwith has been placed on the reserve/non-football injury list which will end his 2019 season.

Beckwith will now miss his second consecutive season after he fractured his ankle in a car accident back in April of 2018. Per The Tampa Bay Times:

TAMPA — After numerous evaluations from orthopedic specialists, linebacker Kendell Beckwith will be placed on the reserve/non-football injury list by the Bucs, meaning he will miss at least a second straight season.

In fact, the Bucs are fearful that Beckwith’s injury might be career-ending.

Beckwith, a third-round pick from LSU in 2017, was a passenger in an automobile accident with Tigers teammate Lamin Barrow on April 12, 2018, fracturing his ankle and undergoing surgery.

This sucks but hopefully he was responsible with his money and it doesn’t bankrupt him. He needs 5 years in NFL to get pension. I hope he recovers.

Lamin Barrow ruined his friend's life because he was driving like a moron, lost control of the car (like an old Asian woman) and crashed into a fence. Well done Lamin. At least you weren't injured though, right?

This will be the 2nd Tiger, in my adult life, who I couldn't wait to see their career pan out and it was cut short by injury. The other is Chad Jones. Still think about what the NFL would've been like had he not gotten injured.

Chris Faulk, Chiron and D. Byrd as well. Faulk was my favorite lineman of recent vintage, and I think if he’d played in 2012 he’d have gotten All American type accolades and probably a 1st rounder.
