LSU wide receiver Kayshon Boutte spoke with the media after practice on Tuesday and said that he has taken on more of a leadership role this season and even spoke to the whole offense at halftime of the Florida game.

Boutte also talked about his slow start to the season and how his teammates helped him spark a breakout performance vs. the Gators.

Love the progression and his attitude.

Sounds like all he did was decide to give a damn again.

His comment about his ankle finally disappearing from thought says that's not the only thing.

Had Ogeron been the coach of this team. Boutte would
have done opted out. Props to Coach Brian Kelly. And congrats to Boutee on a huge game!

Props he is doing what he feels like is best. I look forward to see him dominate like we all know he can.

Wanna know what flipped his switch? He had a kid, it’s different now. No more screwing around out there.

Perhaps being out so long and also the stress of having a baby due were contributing factors.

That’s certainly what did it for me. I was not much older than him when we had our first. Changes everything about the way you see things.

Glad it’s finally clicking. This is his team if he will step up

Does anyone know anything about KB's relationship with his ole man? That baby seems to be what flipped that switch.

Daniels seems to be throwing behind him still. If JD can get that right Kayshon will do some really good things.

This isnt a knock on JD. He showed us against FLA that he is a serviceable QB now. It will take time for him to adjust to the system and show if he can be a great QB. I'm optimistic for next season.

I think he’s only in here for a 1 and done deal

Well that sucks. I think Howard wins it out eventually, but would actually like having JD and Howard next season.

Most will never understand a man in his position, a young dad, and bright future while playing an amateur sport. Some things are bigger than college football. Wish him the best. He was the only player on the team last year that showed heart.
