LSU coach Jay Johnson spoke with reporters on Monday and had a positive update on third-baseman Tommy White who had to leave Sunday's game vs. Ole Miss with an injury.
quote:

"He's just a little sore, kind of dinged up," Johnson said.

"I just felt like it wasn’t in his best interest for him to continue playing yesterday. His body language throughout the game in the dugout didn't seem like a guy that was super or overly concerned."

"It was probably in his best interest, as hard as it is, to take out the national RBI leader in a conference game but it's what we needed to do."

"I'm optimistic that it's just a day-to-day thing that we need to treat and stay on top of it. Our trainer Josh Walker does a great job."

Hitting the ball as hard and far as he does would wear anybody else out. Most would struggle to get Tommy's bat to their shoulders.

Probably just a little slight pull or tweak of something. Hopefully, that's it and just needs some rest and recovery.

Why do they always show a picture of Hank Williams Jr when they talk about Tommy White?

Dugas should sit too. He doesn’t look 100% just yet.
