He bailed on his teammates and used Covid as the perfect cover to avoid injury and keep his draft stock as high as possible after the season he'd just had. Downvote all you want but that's exactly what he did.

That is a pretty good and accurate assessment.

Yes he did, I hope by opting out of your scholarship you also had to drop school, which probably not a huge priority anyway. At least the quitter marshall played most of the season.

To think this guy, Terrace and last year’s heisman all played La prep ball just a few years ago is a sick display of WR talent. All three are good

They know exactly why he opted out, just like the rest of us. He was coming off a perfect season with phenomenal tape and new this year's team wasn't going to be very good. He used Covid, plain and simple.

Good grief at all the whining in this thread. I swear we have some of the most overly sensitive fans in the world. Thank the kids for all of the work and effort they put in to represent the university and our state. Don’t sit here and bash on them because they made a critical decision about their future. That probably wasn’t an easy decision for them to make...

It was an extremely easy decision whe a sports agency fronts you almost 7 figures to do it. He sold out his team mates in college, he'll do it in the pros .

If all of you were in his situation, you probably would have done the same thing

We are all individuals with our own self interest at heart. So Chase was allowed to opt out but at the same time the fans had a right to be pissed about it because they wanted to root for a winning team. No right or wrong on either side, just self interest.

Kids at his level know they will play in the NFL early on. Opting out is sometimes part of a career path, love it or hate it. It is what it is.

Pretty sad he still got to use LSU facilities when he quit the team. “ I quit, but I will need to use your facilities when pro day is here”!!....

Let me rephrase it! It’s all about me. So what my team suffered because I don’t have a spine. Let me say it again “ it’s all about me”

Not happening. Marshall is solid. Chase is a NCAA created player.

Hope his draft stock drops due to the fact that HE SOLD OUT his team mates.
