LSU linebacker Whit Weeks spoke with reporters on Tuesday and revealed that he broke his ankle in Week 5 against Ole Miss.

The Tigers were on a bye the following week, but Weeks played in LSU's next game against South Carolina in Week 7.

Weeks missed the next four games before making a brief appearance in the Western Kentucky game last week.

The injury happened on the same ankle that he dislocated in LSU's Bowl victory against Baylor last season and had surgery on.

Weeks said he will not need to have surgery again, and it’s just a pain tolerance thing.

Why did BK kept it as a secret? Lying POS should have been fired for 'serous breach of trust'!

Did BK or the team ever actually say what the issue was or just "ankle injury"? This story makes no sense, so the others were probably crap also.

Idk I think Kiffins daughter has drained the man of his strength, down to his bones. Season ending injury against Ole Miss the week you announce your dating the daughter of LSUs likely head coach in the midst of a playoff run in coaching carousel? I think Kiffin is playing 3D chess here hahaha

It’s NEVER up to the school, coaches, doctors or trainers to disclose the nature or status of an injury. It is always at the discretion of the athlete. Maybe Whit didn’t want you keyboard warriors to know that his ankle was broken. You can’t blame BK, or any other coach for what is, and what is not said to the media regarding injuries.

I don’t see the upside to saying boba bruise vs broken ankle because what it led to was everyone wondering why a bone bruise was keeping him out for several weeks. Why not just say the frickin things is broken, why mislead? Makes no sense

Bone* bruise can’t fricking type

The semantics used in today's media is ridiculous. We are suppossed to believe he BROKE his ankle, played a football game 2 weeks later, missed 4 games because of PAIN but doesn't need surgery?

Shout out to all the trolls who said he was faking it. You know who you are.

I will admit I was a troll, but I was only doing it out of comedy and making light of the fact that he is dating the potential future boss’s daughter and the awkward wording of the diagnosis that was reported in the media. Get well soon, Weeks.

Awesome job man. I hope the comedy about this teenager and his girlfriend that you don't know brought you a ton of joy, fricking creep
