LSU quarterback Sam Leavitt was back on the practice field Thursday as the Tigers continue preparations for Saturday’s showdown against Ole Miss.

According to multiple reports, Leavitt participated in Thursday’s practice after sitting out Wednesday while dealing with an undisclosed injury.

Leavitt was surprisingly listed as doubtful on LSU’s initial availability report Wednesday night. It was later reported that he did not throw during Wednesday’s practice.

His participation Thursday is encouraging, although it remains unclear how much work he handled or whether he threw during practice.

LSU will release an updated availability report Thursday night ahead of Saturday’s Top-10 matchup in Oxford.
