LSU defensive line coach Kyle Williams has officially wrapped up his duties with the Tigers.

Wilson Alexander of The Advocate reports that Williams will not coach in LSU's Texas Bowl matchup vs. Houston on Saturday.

Instead, former LSU defensive lineman Jermauria Rasco, who has been an analyst the past two years, has been elevated to coach the defensive tackles.

Williams, a former LSU All-American and NFL veteran, joined Brian Kelly's staff in March of 2025 after serving as the defensive coordinator for Ruston High School from 2020 to 2024.

New LSU head coach Lane Kiffin added two new defensive line assistants last week in South Carolina defensive line coach Sterling Lucas and Ole Miss senior defensive analyst Lou Spanos. Kevin Peoples is expected to remain on staff as the edge rushers coach.

Give another Tiger a shot to be the man in the bowl game. I like it

Or you can look at it as him quitting on the team like a lot of people on here say when a player doesn’t play in a bowl game.

Do you know all of the details surrounding this situation?

Williams stepped up when his alma mater needed him and did a commendable job, but he does not want to be a coach. How about thanking an all-time Tiger for his leaving his family to aid his school, ya jagoff.

I appreciate Kyle Williams stepping in to establish a first rate DLine after losing Brad Davis. Best wish Kyle in all your endeavors, sir.

I don't really care one way or the other. Not much is going to happen that will make this team any better than it already is. Although it could be worse with all the opt outs at LSU and none at Houston

It's the TEXAS BOWL, man, not the playoffs. I think the defensive linemen will be OK with Rasco and the other coaches who might be helping out.
