ESPN writer Greg Ostendorf says LSU will get off to good start Saturday on the road against Mississippi State and picks the Tigers to win.
quote:

Why LSU wins: Don’t think this LSU team forgot what happened last year when Mississippi State went into Death Valley and dominated the Tigers for most of the game. This is their chance for revenge. And I’m not sold on the MSU defense this year, not after giving up 413 yards to Southern Miss in the opener. We haven’t seen LSU yet, but I think Brandon Harris, Leonard Fournette and this offense get off to a good start on the road
ESPN writer Sam Khan Jr. has Mississippi State winning Saturday's game because of Dak Prescott and home field advantage for the Bulldogs.
quote:

LSU has more talent on its roster than Mississippi State, but when the best player on the field is at the most important position, that counts for a lot. Read more.

If there were a "fifth quarter," we would have beaten State in 2014.

Had that hail mary worked, LSU would have won in regulation.

I know he's gone, but I'll say it anyway. I hope Dylan Day gets hung by his own hillbilly rat tail

Oh and when I mentioned Mariota, I'm talking about his two losses, one to Arizona that ate his lunch, and one to Ohio State, who beat them like a stepchild even with his 300 yard passing game performance.

Sam Khan Jr = do not read LSU fans

I've seen a bunch of this goober's predictions and views on the Tigers this offseason, and they are hilarious at best. He has no clue.

You tell me how even with bringing back a stout OL (including 2 future first rounders), Mike Evans, and heisman winner Johnny Manziel, made TAMU and 8-4 team in 2013 from their 10-2 previous season?

Answer) doesn't matter if you have a top QB coming back with experience. Your QB and can and will be neutralized at some point. Your team needs balance offensively (see run game) and a decent defense. Happened to Winston, happened to Mariota, happened to Manziel and it will happen to Dak. Manziel, Winston, and Mariota had a great OL, one had a good run game, and one had a decent defense. Dak has nothing outside of two WRs. Don't give me that 1a/1b crap. Both got smoked all year last year on defense, and now you don't have the quality depth anywhere on your roster.

The year before we beat Dak and company 52-28. They have an all world team and roll in Baton Rouge and start kicking our butt, but the second we put in a competent MLB in Beckwith we stymied them on offense. Then we put Harris in and started scoring. Both guys are back and better. Tigers 31-17.
