LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier spoke with the media at the Manning Passing Academy and said that he has been training his body and legs this offseason to be more mobile next season.

Nussmeier only ran the ball 35 times last season, but ended up with -35 rushing yards due to some ugly sacks. He had three rushing touchdowns, and his longest run was 14 yards.

Through the air, Nussmeier passed for 4,052 yards with a 64.2 CMP%, and 29 touchdowns with 12 interceptions.

Just don't go out there trying to prove you can run and get yourself injured because improving your decision making and cutting down on your INT's is more important to the team than your rush totals.

We will see. IMO it isn't a lack of ability to run it was a unwillingness to run.

This is exactly right. Defenses were daring him to run, and I thought he'd choose to do so in big moments, but he never did.

He has been at LSU for almost 5 years, it is a little late. I wish he could get mentally stronger like Joe Burrow. Nuss has always been quiet and weak instead of a take charge guy. I wish he would start swearing a little like Burrow.
