Despite many reports that link Jimbo Fisher to the LSU job, Florida State University President John Thrasher said Monday that Fisher is happy in Tallahassee and wants to say. Per The Tallahassee Democrat:
quote:

“Jimbo and I talk frequently and based on that he is happy here and wants to stay,” Thrasher told the Tallahassee Democrat.

“He’s given me no reason to think differently.”

“Whatever is going on in Louisiana is going on in Louisiana – I have no control,” Thrasher said.

“I think people make things up to create a stir – I don’t know where the credibility comes from – I don’t know where they get their information. It’s all speculation – there’s nothing there.”
Thrasher also suggested that Florida State is willing to work with Fisher, "within reason" if there is something that he wants.
quote:

“If there is something he needs or wants – within reason -- we are open to looking at that,” Thrasher said.

“I think he feels he gets great support from the administration.”

Why would anyone think that FSU will simply let Jimbo walk away. It appears this is a typical late season Sexton troll. It will be interesting to see if LSU has a viable plan B.

Damage control. Plausible deniability.

Every response out there has been a diplomatic one and points to Jimbo coming back to LSU, IMHO.

Mine too, we're up crap creek if that doesn't happen. All in now for Jimbo
