The Kansas City Cheifs have placed former LSU running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire on the non-football illness list and will miss the first four games of the season before he's eligible to return. Per ESPN:
quote:

Edwards-Helaire recently detailed his battles with PTSD. He missed several training camp practices and wasn't on the practice field with the Chiefs on Sunday as they began preparations for Thursday night's season opener against the Baltimore Ravens.

Last month, Edwards-Helaire provided an exact date, Dec. 22, 2018, as the start of his experience with PTSD. He didn't go into details other than to say he and a friend found themselves in what he called "a self-defense situation.'' Edwards-Helaire at the time was in college at LSU.

Two LSU football players were trying to sell an electronic item on that date when one of them fatally shot an 18-year-old man trying to rob them, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, police said. The police didn't identify the players, but The Associated Press reported that Edwards-Helaire was one of them.

Probably thought he was fine and some demons started to creep up.

Hope he gets the help he needs.

Wonder if what happened to Pearsall brought that up for him. Good on him to seek help and deal with this head on.

I would bet that the Pearsall thing didn't help and may have been the last straw so to speak. That shite cannot be easy.

Take care of yourselves everyone.

Jared Small was reported as the other LSU player with CEH. Anybody know how he's doing these days?

I loved CEH so much that season. He made me laugh w his positive energy after the SECCG, saw himself on the big screen live and was like "oh that's me!" And started doing a goofy happy dance. He was so important in the alabama win. I hope the best for him.

I was abruptly woken up one morning by cops banging the hell outta my bedroom window. I go to the door and about 15 cops from diff departments ushered my out. We eventually went back in and they ransacked my house for 4 hrs! They showed me the warrant and it had two guys' names on it, neither of which was mine.

I said, you got the wrong house, that ain't me. They said, oh no you're the right person. Of course, I wasn't. They never apologized or helped me put my house back together...fckn Nazis!

My senses are on a hair trigger now. Every lil sound I think the gestapo is fixin to break my door down. It's irrational, it was a mistake, but my body won't give it up and stop this jumpiness. I feel for him.

Similiar experience, just no destruction but it burns me up that they didn't apologize for being wrong after saying really f'd up sh to me.

I just knew after seeing all of those diff cop depts, all those vehicles, the number of personnel...that someone was gonna be paying for all of that shitt. As I sat there for 4 hrs, I knew they were gonna plant drugs on me.

I mean, such an official fckup as that, I was fixin to be the stooge on the evening news and them talking all about these valiant tax-feeding parasites ridding the town of drugs and dealers! Talk about an incredibly bad feeling knowing that your life is about to be over. Givin me chills right now.

But apparently they had one honest cop in a supervisor role. Thank god.

I said from the get go of this even that I was worried about the impact on his long-term mental health. He was a kid. Yet many of the takes on this board were of the "FAFO, he shouldn't give a frick" variety.

Maybe he was watching that pitiful LSU game and lacy threw up that shotgun blast and he caused him to go back to that dark place.

That article by the ESPN staff writer seems very lazy and would've gotten an F as it seems very incomplete.. More details perhaps.
