LSU quarterback Joe Burrow broke Rohan Davey's 2001 single-season passing record (3,347) on Saturday night vs. Ole Miss and stands at 3,687 through 10 games.

On Sunday, Davey congratulated Burrow on setting the new record with this message on Facebook and video on Twitter:

He would have loved this offense, Mettenberger would have loved this office, OBJ and Jarvis Landry would have loved this offense, Rueben Randle, Wendell Davis, Early Doucet, Josh Reed, Terrence Tolilver, Russell Shepard, Trendon Holliday, Demetrius Byrd etc etc etc This offense with the 2011 team defense would have hoisted the trophy in New Orleans. With 300-lb DL hanging on him and with a hobbled knee/ankle(?) he would still flick his wrist and send a dart down the field 40+ yards (most likely to Josh Reed). Rohan THE MAN!!!
