Former LSU punter Jamie Keehn will receive a contract tryout with the Carolina Panthers during the teams rookie camp in Charlotte this weekend, according to the Charlotte Observer.
quote:

Keehn was an accomplished javelin thrower and rower before arriving at LSU in 2012, when Panthers assistant special teams coach Thomas McGaughey was on the Tigers’ staff.

He averaged 42.6 yards per punt over his LSU career, finishing No. 5 on the school’s all-time list in gross average. Of his 184 punts, he had 66 downed inside the 20-yard line and 39 that went 50 yards or longer.
The Panthers currently have two punters on the roster and are looking to replace Brad Nortman, who signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars in March.

Yall are being a little too hard on Jamie, he only shanked it when he was kicking from deep out of our own territory.

If this doesn't work out, maybe he can take Ray Lewis' spot at ESPN since he knows how to shank
