With three games left in the regular season, head coach Ed Orgeron was asked Monday if he has considered giving some reps to backup quarterback Myles Brennan.
quote:

Q. With only three games left in the regular season have y'all given any thought about giving Myles Brennan some reps?

ED ORGERON: You know, Myles Brennan is ready to go every game. The time that we could give him some reps I asked him and he was just nursing a slight injury. Then all of the other games have been so tight that we just kept Joe in there. There's three games to go, there's several players that can get more reps and still get red shirted, but I do want to put them in at the right time, I don't want to put them in at the wrong time and I want to make sure that he's ready to go in. But again, if Joe would get hurt, he's going in, he's our quarterback and I believe in him.
Brennan, a sophomore from Long Beach, Mississippi has yet to play in a game this season. He appeared in six games last year as a true freshman with 14 completions on 24 attempts for 182 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions.

O line. Keep Brennan out until we can straighten that out. Better to keep him out and redshirt him.

It’s been a HUGE blessing this season for Burrow to take every QB snap (minus a couple of CEH wildcat plays). Now Brennan should get some work vs. Ark, Rice, and bowl game.

OFFENSIVE LINE! Put in Aaron Rodgers and he’d run for his life too.

The question that should have been asked was..."With only three games left in the regular season have y'all given any thought about giving the back up offensive line some reps?"

Actually, I believe the backups have played a lot this season due to injuries. We can only get better @ that position.

No sir...every single win that we can get is exceedingly important this season. If we get an insurmountable lead over someone, then yes, I think we should play some backups. I would not support any second string players in games that are not already put away, though.
