Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports
During Wednesday's SEC Coaches Teleconference, LSU head coach Ed Orgeron was asked about whether or not he regrets playing Derrius Guice vs. Syracuse last week.

Guice was originally ruled out for Syracuse game with an injury but team doctors and trainers cleared him to play. He ended up starting last Saturday but may have tweaked his injury as his status for the Troy game is listed as "questionable."
quote:

"No, we wanted to play him," Orgeron said. "Obviously, Derrius is a competitor and we thought that he was ready to play. I made those decisions when I listened to the trainers and the doctors and they said he was ready to go so we played him."

I'd hold them both out until the Florida game. I would play Key, as he needs the work. Hopefully have all three ready to do some Gator hunting!

Coach O letting LF play because he got in fight before Florida game was all I needed to see.

Guice and Lawrence will be knicked and questionable for every game. I don't see how Guice will ever make it to the A&M game.

Let Guice rest. He has a professional career ahead of him and LSU has a great back in Williams.

Yeah you are right. We shouldn't play any player that may have a future in the NFL. Hell why even recruit them anymore.

I, for one, cannot wait until the recruiting train gets so good that we have a bench full of upperclassmen sitting out in preparation for the NFL and nothing but freshmen on the field hanging 40 points on fools and shutting them out. That's sarcasm for "you're an idiot".

Kind of a crappy gotcha question there. The player, trainers, and doctor ALL told him that Guice was good to go. What the frick is O supposed to do?

Why the 180 in a 24 hour period? He goes from Out to 100% go?
