LSU head coach Ed Orgeron said Tuesday that senior offensive lineman Austin Deculus and junior cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. will be making the trip with him to SEC Media Days next week starting on July 19.

Orgeron talked about both players during his appearance on 104.5 ESPN's "Off The Bench." Per SDS:

“This year, we are bringing Derek Stingley and Austin Deculus,” Orgeron said on the show. “Two great leaders. Obviously, Derek coming to LSU was great for us. He had committed to us, decommitted, gave some time off [from recruiting]. His dad was very instrumental in helping us recruit Derek. He wanted his son here, his momma wanted him here, Corey Raymond did a great job. Derek is the finest corner in America and a great leader for us. I can’t wait to bring him.

“Austin Deculus, think about the job he’s done. He was very instrumental in helping me recruit the offensive line to come back this year. I think that’s probably the biggest key to our season is that offensive line coming back. I’m very proud to bring both of those guys. They are going to represent LSU in the best way possible.”

Not the 5th year SR.QB? Must be closer than some think.

Or he doesn't want the qb to have to deal with dumb questions from the media that don't have a clue.

There’s a lot of kids he could have taken, but you can’t argue with the 2 he chose!

Well it worked out pretty well last time we brought our starting qb. Think before you type. If you have a real squad then you don't give 2 fukcs about tipping your hand. You just worry about whoopin that arse on Saturdays
