LSU head coach Ed Orgeron joined the SEC Coaches Teleconference on Wednesday and said that Danny Etling reinjured his back while warming up before the Arkansas game.

Orgeron previously mentioned earlier in the week that Etling was dealing with an injury but didn't specify what it was. The senior quarterback chose not to reveal it either when he was interviewed on Monday.

Etling had surgery on his back over the summer to fix an issue that dealing with last season.

I hope he has insurance against playing professional ball (any of the professional leagues) due to injury bc he will be dealing with this for the rest of his life. And the possibility lingers that he will have surgery again at least one time.

We have a very good chance at 9 - 3 and then a 10th win with a bowl win. Not many teams can boast of a 10 win season. Our 2018 recruiting class is very, very important. A 10 win season is a major selling point to recruits. We can also finish 3rd in the SEC overall with two more regular season wins. Etling gives us the best opportunity to do so. That's what were playing for. The future.

"Not many teams can boast of a 10 win season." Up until this year, a ten win season didn't mean jack. The rant's position was that any knucklehead could win 10 games a year at LSU. Now it's a major achievement. LOL!

Agreed, it's the first step towards winning the west then the conference then the CFP.

Exactly right. The people that think Brennan can come in and take over are the same people that wanted Harris and Jennings. How did that turn out? The coaching staff is building a winning program. It’s a process. If you can’t see that, you probably have never played organized sports on any level. Or you just like to complain.

Brennan needs work. Let him get it in against dumpster fire Tennessee. Rest Etling for a week so he can start against A&M. Have to get a seventh straight W over them.

SUB is on to something. Has the training staff tried to heat up the ice? Its the best of both worlds.
