Ed Orgeron: "It Was A Fun Night Talking With Recruits On The Phone" After Auburn Win

LSU's win over No. 7 Auburn Saturday, it's second win over a Top 10 team this season resulted in some positive energy on the recruiting trail as the Tigers gained a commitment from 2020 4-star defensive tackle Jaquelin Roy on Monday.

Orgeron met with the media on Monday and wasn't allowed to specifically talked about Roy or any players but said it's been great talking with the recruits since the Auburn win.

“It was fun on the phone last night...let me tell you that," Orgeron said.

"We are able to call our guys once a week. There was a lot of energy in the room. A lot of guys are excited. Especially offensive guys that are liking what we are doing on offense. Defensive guys are excited about what we are doing on defense. And skill guys are liking what we are doing on special teams."

"There’s a big wave of emotion in recruiting right now, not only the 2019 class but the 2020 class. We feel good about where we are at. Now we have to fight to end and we need to finish.”
