by TD Staff Reporter

Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports
During an appearance at the New Orleans Quarterback Club on Tuesday, LSU head coach Ed Orgeron talked briefly about recruiting and how he wants to fill the remaining six spots in the 2019 class.
LSU currently has 19 verbal commitments for the class of 2019 and will look to fill the remaining spots with a second quarterback, another running back, and more offensive and defensive lineman, according to Coach O.
Orgeron added that LSU should be getting the best running back in the country, every year and that "there's one not far from here." Orgeron would be referring to five-star Destrehan running back John Emery who is currently committed to Georgia.
Orgeron also commented on the "battle" up at Amite HS between LSU and Alabama as both teams are going hard for five-star defensive tackle Ishmael Sopsher.
