Former USC defensive lineman and defensive line coach Kenechi Udeze has been added to LSU support staff as a defensive analyst, according to multiple sources.

LSU head coach Ed Orgeron was Udeze defensive line coach at USC from 2001 to 2003, earning All-American honors. Udeze went on to play in the NFL from 2004-2007.

He served as the defensive line coach at USC for the last three season before he was fired by coach Clay Helton last November.

What I like is the man works his tale off. He is 24/7/365 all in trying his best to put the best product on the field. Now with Woodward he walks into any situation with so much more credibility and an AD who doesn't want to be anywhere else and is 100% committed to LSU.

Helton is the one that needs to go. They have not signed a 5* in like 4-5 years and for USC that is ridiculous!

Gotta give O credit for pushing for these guys and whoever's giving the nod to hire them, have to do things like this to beat Bama, O is on a roll, gotta think there's also the possibility of him becoming D line coach if improvement isn't made

What kind of salary does an analyst make?

Generally, they make in the range of 30-40k for the season. It's basically just a fill in job until they can get a full time coaching position again or they're hired as an analyst while waiting on a spot to open up on the coaching staff. Maybe Ed isn't happy with the way Meatball is coaching the D-Line and wanted to bring someone else in to assist him in a limited capacity. Which is ironic considering Ed is supposed to be some transcendent defensive line coach. Our D-Line hasn't exactly been dominant in Ed's time here so I call bullshite on that.

Must be pretty cool to have his former players join him as staff.
