Update: The Ole Miss team meeting has been pushed back to 1 p.m. CT.

All signs on Saturday evening point to LSU hiring Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin to be the school's next head coach.

Kiffin was LSU's top target after firing Brian Kelly in October, and now he's expected to take over in Baton Rouge.

Ross Dellenger reported that Kiffin met with Ole Miss athletic director Keith Carter and chancellor Glenn Boyce for almost three hours at Boyce's residence on Saturday evening. During the meeting, Kiffin likely revealed his decision and expressed his desire to coach the Rebels during their playoff run.

Dellenger also reported that LSU officials spoke with Kiffin's reps to solidify the deal and arrange for two planes to pick up Kiffin and his family in Oxford on Sunday.

Later in the evening, ESPN's Marty Smith and others reported that Kiffin scheduled a 9 a.m. team meeting with an expected announcement about his future to follow.

Stay tuned Sunday morning as we continue to keep you updated on the latest Lane Kiffin news.

MMR's Challenger N350PR is in the Hanger with no flight plan scheduled for today. But that could change quickly. Acadian Ambulance's Lear45 N599TA is in Hanger in Lafayette...no flight plan filed. These planes have been used before to ferry coaches !

Plenty of options and they don’t have to be stationed at BTR to go to Oxford.

Don’t care about the drama, the baggage, the social media posts, how big the contract is, his family, the fact that he’s really into yoga. Just win. That’s all. Win.

Im not saying I'm against it, but I still cannot picture him as our head coach. Wild times

You can luv or dislike him but, one thing is mostly agreed upon. He is an offensively minded, very good play caller, and a winner. His personal life, well that is another story. If he wins, GEAUX TIGA!!!
